OUR PEOPLE

Mr. Suto received his bachelor’s degree (1988) in resource engineering from Tohoku University.
He served as Examiner, Administrative Judge and Senior Director of the Board of Trial and Appeal (1988-1997, 2000-2008, 2011-2022) at Japan Patent Office. He also worked for Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1997-2000) as 1st secretary at Embassy of Japan in Kenya and Intellectual Property High Court (2008-2011) as Judicial Research Official.
He had examined patent applications and handled trial and appeal cases in many technical fields, mainly plastic engineering.
He joined SOEI in 2022.
